No doubt about it, January is the month for bowl games. And if you love college football, you gotta love these puppies. The list reads like Forrest Gump’s never-ending listing of tasty shrimp combinations. There’s the Rose Bowl, Gator Bowl, Orange Bowl, Outback Bowl. You got your Sugar Bowl, your Fiesta Bowl, your Cotton Bowl, your BCS Bowl. That’s not to mention the most American of creations: the branded bowls (Chick-fil-A, GoDaddy and Capital One). Then there are the schools. We’ve got Notre Dame versus Alabama. We’ve got Northwestern facing down Mississippi State. We’ve got Florida State tangling with Northern Illinois. And we’ve got South Carolina toe-to-toe with Michigan. There’s Oregon facing off with Kansas State. There’s A&M nose-to-nose with Oklahoma. There’s Kent State against Arkansas State. There’s Florida taking on Louisville. And last, but not least, there’s Stanford face-to-face with Wisconsin. And this list doesn’t include the bowl games and matchups that are squeezed in between Christmas cheer and New Year’s resolutions. So with all this outstanding college football, who has time to go bowling? Well, you do. Because…there’s night bowling, bumper bowling, cosmic bowling, virtual bowling. There’s team bowling, league bowling, beer bowling, caffeinated bowling. There’s bowling with the boys, bowling with the girls, bowling with the gang, bowling with the kids. There’s barefoot bowling. First date bowling. Blindfold bowling. And…well, any way, you get the idea. This January find a bowling center near you. Grab a bowl game and grab a bowling ball.
